Paul Martin Power Master Builders
My wife and I have been delighted to work with Paul. He acted as both our builder and project manager for our renovation which lasted over 12-months. Our project involved the renovation of the whole of our Victorian terrace property in Redfern which is the original two up two down structure plus an extension.
Our experience was and remains a very positive one. We are very pleased with the outcome and the building process itself. The process was trouble free due to Pauls ability to work constructively and harmoniously with us and our architect, Yvonne Haber. We understand that our project was the first occasion they had worked together.
Paul delivered an excellent standard of building work we have not experienced any subsequent issues arising from our renovation. He managed site and organised his contractors well it was a happy work site from that perspective. Additionally, he completed our renovation on budget we had had no over-runs other than those which we added to the original contract. He engaged with us on a regular basis throughout the process, raising issues and proposing solutions early. We found Paul to be adaptive and flexible and, in some cases imaginatively so, in respect to changes to the original scope of work; for example he identified and worked with a structural engineer to develop a novel solution to our lack of structural support for our stairs. Finally, he ensured that his crew maintained his high standards.
We strongly recommend Paul as a reliable, thorough and committed builder.

We found Paul through our plumber and were very pleased with his work. Paul was the builder and project manager for our nine month renovation of a 100 year old house. The renovation required a complete reorganising and extending of ground floor rooms and a first floor addition, with tight access. As this was our first renovation, Paul worked well with us, providing regular communication through updates, site meetings and ad hoc when needed. We learnt a lot from Paul through our renovation. He let us know when there were going to be likely changes and potential solutions to problems that arise on a building site for example; the structural requirements couldnt achieve the architectural design in one part of the house and another time; our hallway walls collapsed when the skirting boards were removed. His interpersonal skills and focus on the job enabled him to work really well with his subbies, our architect, structural engineer, neighbours and private certifier. He also has an eye for detail and was able to provide design input when asked. The project ran to schedule and budget subject to the agreed variations along the way. The quality of Pauls workmanship was excellent. We have been in our renovated house for 9 years and we havent uncovered any issues with the build. We would recommend Paul unreservedly.

To anyone planning a major renovation,
We cannot recommend Paul Power highly enough!
Paul and his team did an amazing job renovating our floorless shell of a four level terrace in Hargrave Street, Paddington, turning a derelict property into an immaculately appointed home. Pauls professionalism, his positive and flexible attitude, his sense of humor and ability to anticipate potential problems ensured that nothing came as a surprise, and that we really enjoyed the building experience. The result was a fantastic major renovation, completed on time and on budget.
Paul has a team of exceptionally skilled tradespeople, each with a meticulous approach to detail, which meant that our terrace was finished to an even higher standard than we thought possible. Pauls ability to maintain an excellent relationship with his team meant that throughout the build we had the same group of tradies, which no doubt contributed to the consistency of the finished product. We are supremely happy with the outstanding quality of the workmanship throughout the house.
Pauls management and planning skills were a crucial part of our build. Our terrace is on one of the main drags through Paddington, with limited access at both the front and back. On top of this, it didnt have stairs until about six weeks before the renovation was finished! Without Pauls ability to manage his team and materials, the project would most definitely have run over budget and over time. His cohesive approach to managing the process also made all the difference to us, as we are both professional people working full time (and on top of this our daughter was doing the HSC) and could not be on site day to day.
We ended up with a stunning and immensely livable home with four beautiful bathrooms, a dream kitchen, and beautiful floorboards, cabinetry and paintwork throughout. No room was left less than beautifully finished. Four years on from the renovation we are still delighted.
Paul also kept all of our neighbours happy, no mean feat when surrounded on all sides by terrace housing!
Thank you Paul and your fantastic team. We are more than happy to be contacted by any prospective clients who would like to speak with us directly.

Paul Power was recommended to us in 2003 by our architect for our extension and renovation of a sandstone house in Drummoyne. We grew to know Paul well over the six months of the renovation, especially as we lived on site, and were able to watch the build with interest as well as respect for his work ethic and his dealings with contractors. He is honest, and conscientious - things that were promised were done, and done to the satisfaction of the client and the architect.
Several years later we worked with Paul on a larger build, of a new shop and offices above in Darling Street Balmain. On a very difficult site, with all sorts of traffic and logistical issues, Paul and his team did a great job.
We also engaged Paul for a small but difficult and sensitive job at an old house in Hunters Hill, as we knew his extensive experience with old and new houses would be good for the task.
We would be happy to recommend Paul Power.
"My husband and I could not recommend Paul and his team highly enough. We were thrilled with the renovations to our townhouse. These included some significant structural changes, a new kitchen and new bathrooms. Paul was knowledgable, reliable, thorough and always thinking one step ahead throughout the process. His quote was extremely competitive too. More importantly, the work fell within the estimated costs and timeframe. The tradespeople that Paul selected were also very competent and well-priced. We have been recommending Paul Power to all of our friends and family members who are thinking of renovating.
We were dreading doing renovations due to all the bad news stories we had heard. Our fears quickly dissipated as Paul and his team were 100% professional. We found them to be reliable, trustworthy and above all they showed great care for our house and our plans. Paul worked really hard to realise our build with the highest quality workmanship. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul. Our journey through renovations turned out to be a really pleasant, exciting and satisfying experience.

Paul Power renovated our federation house in Kensington last year. He totally redid a part of the house that included two bathrooms and laundry as well as general area. Paul and his team were an absolute delight to have in the house. Their work is perfect and of high quality. We have not had to call them back. Most importantly, with a smile, Paul worked with the architect easily, and accommodated changes to the plan as we went without complaint when a better idea was apparent after demolishing etc etc. usual building stuff!. We are both busy professionals and Paul tried hard to accommodate meetings around our work schedules.
I would absolutely use Paul again for the next renovation.

To who it may concern,
I, William Osmo, the principal of T.O.P Consulting Group have known Paul Martin Power, as a house builder for more than one years.
Our company in our capacity of structural engineers have designed one of his developments, which comprised complex construction, adjoining properties, and concil restraints, at paddington.
He always followed our structural details, comprehended the intricacies of the design requirements, and at all times offered constructive criticisms as to the way of improving the design and overall construction of the buildings.
As a builder has has carried out many construction projects, from small additions and alterations to major ones. The current project he is undertaking has a value of more than $1.5 million, we inspected the site and provided engineering services, and we were satisfied of his workmanship at all levels.
We strongly recommend him as a competent constructor, based on our experience and seeing the end results of satisfied customers.
